Frostproof Middle/Senior High School Student Art for the 40th Anniversary

The art works you see on this page are by students from Frostproof Middle/ Senior High School. The pieces are a result of our invitation last fall to area art students to provide themed art in celebration of the college’s 40th anniversary. We want to thank Sara Chambers, Art Instructor at Frostproof High and the students in her advanced classes for their contribution. The students viewed scenes of campus buildings, structures and landscapes to produce their works. You may view the original exhibit in the lobby of the Pontious Learning Resource Center.

Course Description: Advanced classes (2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students) were given this assignment as a poster contest using a good composition and a creative twist of their own. The students chose from the photos of campus and made a unique and creative picture of their own from the images using plants and wildlife to enhance their artwork. They had the choice of what media they wanted to use and many selected color: marker, watercolor, color pencil and pen.
