Woody joined the Warner Southern faculty in the Fall of 2000. He serves as Assistant Professor of Bible for both the traditional classroom students and the Online Church Ministry Program.

Woody received a BA from Warner Southern College in 1982 with majors in Biblical Studies, Pastoral Ministries, Christian Education, and Psychology/Counseling. His M.Div. is from Anderson University. He has done further graduate studies at Asbury Theological Seminary, Jerusalem University College, and Hebrew Union College.

Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate at Fuller Theological Seminary. Woody has served churches in Louisiana, Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio, and South Carolina. His most recent position was as pastor of the Madisonville Church of God in Cincinnati, Ohio. While still in college, Woody felt God's call to teach. His work in churches provided the grounding needed to train future leaders of the church.
