MINOR IN BIBLICAL STUDIES


The minor in Biblical Ministry requires 18-credit hours and BST 1010, 2010, 2020, 2120, 2220, 3110, and 3210 do not apply. The required courses are:

MINOR IN CHRISTIAN EDUCATION


The Christian Education minor is a 18-hour minor designed with some degree of flexibility to help a student to take courses in a particular area of interest within the broader CE context, such as youth, children or family. Students may use only 6 credit hours from the major. The required courses are:

Minor in Chruch Ministry (for non-ministry majors)


The minor in Church Ministry is a 22-credit hour minor designed exclusively for non-ministry majors and contains courses designed to give the student a broad foundation of church ministry that will enable one to be a more effective church leader as a layperson in a local church. The required courses are:

MINOR IN MISSIONS


The minor in Missions is a 23 credit minor designed to help students gain a perspective on the global Christian missionary enterprise with a concentration in compassionate ministries among the world’s poor. A majority of this minor is taken at the HEART Institute. Students in the Church Ministry major need to enroll in the HEART program during the fall semester of their sophomore year to avoid complications within the major. Three of the HEART program courses can meet general education requirements. The required courses are:

The minor in Pastoral Studies requires 18 credit hours available only for
those with a Church Ministry or Biblical Studies major. Students may
have up to 6 credit hours of overlap with the Church Ministry major.
The minor is designed to give the student the flexibility to explore the
broader context of pastoral ministry. The required courses are:

MINOR IN WORSHIP MINISTRY


The minor in Worship Ministry requires 21 credit hours. This minor is
only offered in conjunction with the Church Ministry Major. These
students will not be required to take BST 3110/3210. The minor is
designed to strengthen one’s ability to effectively lead and plan worship. The required courses are:
