Major in Worship Ministry

Home » Academics » Bible & Church Ministries » Major in Worship Ministry

This major is a 66-hour major that consists of a combination of worship, music and pastoral studies. It is designed to prepare a student for full-time ministry in the area of music and worship. This major recognizes the unique demands on Associate Pastors in Music and Worship and seeks to provide balanced preparation for ministry in each of the arenas in which music and worship pastors are called to work: Bible, theology, pastoral care, worship leadership, and music. No minor is required with this major.

The objectives of the major in Worship Ministry are to help the student: understand the Bible in its historical and cultural context in order to apply Biblical principles in daily living, develop a philosophy and theology of ministry and worship, develop practical ministry skills to lead the church, and discover and live out their call as they grow as a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ.
