Health Class Formal admission into a major in the Physical Education Department should be sought in the Sophomore year. Admission is provided through a formal application submitted during the semester in which the student will reach 60 hours.

For admission to a major in the department, the student will:

  1. Meet the admissions requirements for attending Warner University.
  2. Have a grade of C or better in ENG 1010, and ENG 1020.
  3. Have a grade of C or better in MAT 1030 or higher.
  4. Complete the departmental application, declaring the major track at that time.
  5. Complete at least 60 credit hours during the term when applying or transfer to Warner University with Junior or Senior status.
  6. If selecting Physical Education Teacher Education, meet all requirements for admission and retention of the Teacher Education Department.
  7. Be recommnded by the department and approved by the Dean of Arts and Science.
Retention in the Exercise Science, and Sport Management majors require a 2.0 or higher GPA with a grade of "C" or better in all major courses. Retention in Physical Education Teacher Education requires a 2.5 or higher GPA with a grade of "C" or better in all major and Teacher Education courses.
