The major in Psychology consists of 36 credit hours. This major is one of the most popular in the United States. It is an excellent one for Pre-Law or as a general college degree major, and for students preparing to go to graduate school in Counseling. The required courses are listed below. Introduction to Psychology is a service course for General Education requirements and is also to be the first course for the major. It is a prerequisite for all Psychology courses except Lifespan Development and Sex, AIDS, and Society. A minor in another field of study is required. Selection of a minor should be done in consultation with the advisor.
