Computer Requirements

The requirements listed below are the base configuration we would recommend for accessing the online course system. System built to this specification would have been sold at stores during the past 2 years.

 
Computer Hardware:
  • Pentium II, 650mhz or faster
  • 64mb RAM
  • 56k modem
  • CD ROM drive
Software:
  • Windows 98, 2000, ME, or XP
  • Microsoft Word – REQUIRED (versions 97, 2000, or XP)
  • Microsoft PowerPoint (versions 97, 2000, or XP)
  • Microsoft Excel (versions 97, 2000, or XP)
  • Microsoft Office (versions 97, 2000, or XP)
  • Internet Browser (see notation below)
Internet Connection:
  • Internet service with connection speed of 33.6k or higher (or)
  • High speed DSL, T1, Satellite or Cable connection
Internet Browser:
  • Internet Explorer 5.0, 5.5, or 6.0 – recommended browser
  • Netscape 4.7, 6.2 or 7.0
  • Mozilla 7.0
  • Opera 6.05
  • AOL 7.0
NOTE: WebTV and older versions of Netscape, Opera, AOL, & Internet Explorer are NOT compatible with the online course system.
