Application Procedures:

  1. When you click on the link to one of our online applications you will be promted to create an account with NELNET, a secure online service used to process and track your application information. Once you complete the easy account set-up procedure, you will be able to access your application at any time.
  2. Complete each page of the online application.
  3. Upon completion of each page, click the NEXT button and follow any additional directions.
  4. At the end of the application process, you will be given the option to digitally sign the application or to print out a PDF version, provided, and mail in with your application fee.
  5. Return the signed copy of the application agreement statement, any applicable forms, and a $20 ($50 for Graduate Student applications) non-refundable application fee to the Admissions Office (See "Admissions and Application Procedures" below. )
  6. If you have trouble completing any online application,

Admissions and Application Procedures

 

Please read the following information carefully. The application process is the first step in the admissions process. It is important for applicants to complete the enclosed application and related forms completely. Incomplete applications will not be considered by the admissions committee. 

Application Fee - A nonrefundable fee of $20 ($50 for Graduate Student applications) must accompany this application. Please make checks payable to Warner Southern College. 

Application Deadline - Applications will be reviewed when completed. Warner Southern College accepts students on a continuous basis throughout the academic year. Early applications are welcomed. 

Transcripts - The applicant must arrange to have an official transcript from ALL undergraduate and graduate (when applicable) schools attended sent directly to Warner Southern College - School of Professional Studies, 13895 Highway 27, Lake Wales, Florida 33859. It is important to request transcripts early in the admissions process to ensure a timely response by the institution. Transcripts received from non-U.S. institutions must be translated and evaluated by a recognized agency. This is the responsibility of the applicant. Applicants needing additional information pertaining to international translation/evaluation agencies should contact WSC's Admissions or Registrar offices. 

Personal Statement - On a separate sheet of paper, state as specifically as possible (approximately 500 words): (a) your reason for choosing Warner Southern College to further your educational goals; (b) your professional plans upon completion of your degree; (c) any information which will help the Admissions Committee in the evaluation of your application. Please attach your typed career narrative statement to the application. Optional: Applicants may also attach a current resume to the application for consideration in the admissions process. 

Recommendations - Two recommendations are required for admission. Applicants should select individuals who are very familiar with their professional and academic backgrounds. Recommendation forms are included in this application packet. Recommendation forms should be sent directly to the School of Professional Studies. 

Proof of Residency - Each applicant must provide proof of citizenship (driver's license, birth certificate, alien green card, visa, etc..). 

Lifestyle Commitment & Computer Literacy Statements - Each applicant must review and sign the Life-Style Commitment and Computer Availability/Internet Access Statements as part of the admissions process. 

Test Requirements - Based upon the academic program selected and the applicant's academic and professional background, an applicant may be requested to complete a specific national examination (GRE, MAT, GMAT, SAT, ACT, etc.). Please inquire with the School of Professional Studies - Admissions pertaining to this test requirement. 

Interview - Based upon the application and recommendations, applicants may be scheduled for an interview with a faculty member and/or program coordinator. 

Notification - Each applicant will be advised in writing of the decision regarding the status of his/her acceptance into the College.
