Reverend Mark Nelson, one of Warner University’s newest Board of Trustees, visited Warner’s campus on Thursday, February 22 to speak in chapel.

Nelson gave a message on Proverbs 3:5-6 and trusting in God fully.

Nelson was selected by President Hoag to be on Warner’s board this year.

“We are blessed to add Rev. Mark to our Board of Trustees,” said Dr. Hoag. “He brings a passion for youth and ministry, which is a perfect fit at Warner.”

Nelson has already been part of the Warner family as an adjunct professor teaching Bible and Church ministry classes.

“Warner is a good growing and learning environment,” Nelson said. “The teachers and staff care about students.”

Also the youth pastor at Solid Rock Community Church in Kissimmee for the last 10 years, ministry is something that is very important to Nelson.

“I enjoy helping and serving people,” Nelson said.

Nelson accepted Christ when he was 13 after the pastor at his church gave a message on eternity after death.

I was able to sit down with Rev. Nelson

Going to Virginia State University for criminal justice, it was not until he began volunteering at his local church that Nelson decided he wanted to be in the ministry, and he committed his life to it.

We welcome Rev. Mark Nelson to the WU Board of Trustees and look forward to seeing him on campus again soon!
