Exercise Science
The major in Exercise Science leads to opportunities for careers in corporate/commercial
fitness/wellness, hospital or nursing centers, community health or recreation agencies, a variety of sports-related careers, and graduate or professional fitness/wellness, health promotion, or therapy programs.
The major consists of 53 credit hours in exercise science, science, & physical education and 13 credit hours in the Physical Education core. A minor is not required.

History
History is an excellent major for students pursuing careers in research, writing and publishing, information management, library science, public relations, politics, and education. This list is not exhaustive of professional occupations in which a history major would serve students well. A history major prepares students seeking to continue on to liberal arts graduate studies or law school.

The major in Secondary Education: Middle School Science 5-9 consists of 36 credit hours in methods and science, and 40 credit hours in Foundational Core and Professional Semester courses.

Music Education: Grades K-12
The major in Music Education: Grades K-12 consists of 39 credit hours in music, 8 credit hours in music methods, and 39 credit hours in Foundational Core and Professional Semester courses from the Department of Teacher Education. A minor is not required.

Physical Education: Grades K-12
The major in Physical Education Teacher Education: Grades K-12 consists of 24 credit hours in physical education; 13 credit hours in the Physical Education core; 6 credit hours in methods; and 39 credit hours in Foundational Core and Professional Semester courses from the Department of Teacher Education. Students who satisfactorily complete the prescribed program satisfy the State of Florida requirements for teacher certification.
