To provide security services, emergency management planning and other public safety services designed to enhance a safe and secure environment.

How Do I Contact Campus Safety and Security?

A Security officer can be reached 24 hours a day / 7 days a week at 7232 from any campus extension or (863) 638-7232 from any telephone.

 

Witnessing/Reporting Crime

All persons are strongly encouraged to report crime or suspicious incidences. Crimes occurring on campus should be reported to Campus Safety and Security by calling (863) 638-7232. If you call, please be prepared to provide if applicable:
• Who you are (and student, staff, faculty).
• Location of the incident you are reporting.
• A description of any suspects.
• A description of any vehicles involved.

Any crime off Campus should be reported to local law enforcement, Polk County Sheriff’s Office (863) 533-0344 or Lake Wales Police Department at (863) 678-4223. If you are not sure, you can call Campus Safety and Security for assistance and we will notify the appropriate agency.
Under Florida law, persons who have knowledge of a felony (a victim of, or witness to the crime) are required to report the crime to law enforcement. Failure to report a felony may itself be a crime.
Information on criminal behavior may be reported to the Office of Student Life, or a Resident Director.
