If You Receive a Bomb Threat

When a bomb threat is received the following notifications are to be made immediately after the call:
1. 911—Call 911 and give emergency services the information about the threat.
2. 7232—or (863) 638-7232 Call Campus Safety and Security and relay the information, then refer to the BOMB THREAT PROCEDURE FORM. Follow the instructions on the form. COMPLETE the form immediately after the caller has hung up, so the information about the call and the caller is fresh.
For other types of threats (disturbing or suspicious), call Campus Safety and Security (863)638-7232 FIRST and we will assess.

Building Security

Non-Residence Buildings:
1. Keys to non-residence buildings are issued with authorization from the President or his designee.
2. Campus Safety and Security officers control the locking and unlocking of most buildings.

Residence Buildings:
1. Each student is responsible for re-securing any locked door encountered.
2. Anyone caught altering a door so that it will not properly close may be subject to a fine of $50.00.
3. Any deficiencies that compromise a buildings security should be reported to Physical Plant and/or Campus Safety.

 

Shuttle and Accompaniment Service

Warner Southern College through Campus Safety and Security offers a shuttle service for individuals needing transportation on campus. The shuttle service has at times coordinated special trips into Lake Wales for items of convenience. The Accompaniment service is for those who need assistance after dark walking to their vehicle. The shuttle and accompaniment service runs 24 hours each day and can be arranged by calling Campus Safety at ext.7232 or (863) 638-7232.
