E-mail Services

1. Select Tools > Accounts...

2. Choose Add --> Mail...

3. Enter your name.

4. Enter your e-mail address.

5. Choose POP3 as your incoming mail server and enter mail.warner.edu as both the Incoming mail server (POP3) and Outgoing mail server (SMTP).

6. Enter your Account Name the part of your e-mail address that is before the "@warner.edu") and e-mail account password. Also Check to Remember password. Then click Next.

7. Select "Connect using my local area network" (or if you use dial-up internet, select "Connect using my phone line").

8. Click Finish.

9. If it does not take you back to the screen below, select Tools-->Accounts..., then select your warner mail account and then click Properties.

10.On the Servers tab, check the box under "Outgoing Mail Server" that reads "My server requires authentication" and then click Settings.

11.Choose "Use same settings as my incoming mail server."

12.Click on the Advanced tab. Then change the following to read:

• Outgoing server (SMTP): 465
• Check the "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)"
• Incoming server (POP3): 995
• Check the "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)"
• We recommend to
  • Check the box to Leave a copy of the messages on the server
  • Check the box to Remove from the server after 2 days.
• Click OK.

13. Click Close
