E-mail Services

1. Select Tools --> Accounts, then click Add--> Mail Service

Then enter your Full Name. Then click Next.

2. Enter your warner e-mail address.

3. Selecte "POP3" as your "incoming mail server." Enter mail.warner.edu as the Incoming Mail server and the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server.

4. Enter the following info in the screen shown:

• Your logon information will be the first part of you e-mail address (everything before the @ symbol)
• Your e-mail password
• Check to Remember Password
• DO NOT check SPA

5. Click "Finish."

6. Go back to Tools --> Accounts

7. Highlight the new mail account and click Properties.

8. On the Servers tab, enter the following information:

• "My incoming mail server is a POP3 server.
• Incoming mail (POP3): mail.warner.edu
• Outgoing mail (SMTP): mail.warner.edu
• Incoming Mail Server:
  • Account name: the user part of your e-mail address - the first part of you e-mail address (everything before the @ symbol)
• Click to Remember Password
• DO NOT check "Log on using Secure Password Authentication."
• Outgoing Mail Server:
  • Check "My server requires authentication"
• Click on Settings

9. Choose "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" and click OK.

10.On the Advanced tab, enter the following:

• Outgoing server (SMTP): 465
• Check the "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)"
• Incoming server (POP3): 995
• Check the "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)"
• We recommend to
  • Check the box to Leave a copy of the messages on the server and then to also
  • Check the box to Remove from the server after 2 days.
• Click OK.

11. Click Close.

12. When you get the Internet Security Warning about the security certificate, you can click YES to continue using this server.
