Connect Entourage for MAC OS X to Exchange Labs


Prerequisites

To access Exchange Labs, you must have the Windows Live ID that your administrator gave you to use with Exchange Labs and your password. The Windows Live ID account is also your e-mail address and includes the name of the domain, like Joe.Smith@go.warner.edu.

Set up Entourage 2004 for POP3 or IMAP4 access to Exchange Labs

  1. In Entourage 2004 for Mac, on the Tools menu, click Accounts.

  2. Click the New button.

  3. In the New Account window, under Add new mail account, select one of the following from the drop-down menu next to Account type:

    • POP
    • IMAP
  4. Click OK.
  5. On the Edit Account page, do the following:

    Under Personal Information

    • Next to Name, enter your display name.
    • Next to E-mail address, enter your full e-mail address, like Joe.Smith@go.warner.edu.

    Under Receiving mail

    • Next to Account ID, enter your full e-mail address.
    • If you are using IMAP4 to access Exchange Labs, next to IMAP server, enter imap.exchangelabs.com.
    • If you are using POP3 to access Exchange Labs, next to IMAP server, enter pop.exchangelabs.com.
    • Next to Password, enter your password. If you want to save your password, you can select the check box next to Save password in my Mac OS keychain.

  6. Click the Click here for advanced receiving options button.

  7. In the pop-up window that appears, select the check box next to This IMAP service requires a secure connection (SSL), and then click the close button in the upper-left corner of the window.

  8. Under Sending mail, next to SMTP server, enter smtp.exchangelabs.com.

  9. Click the Click here for advanced sending options button.

  10. In the pop-up window that appears, do the following:
    • Select the check box next to SMTP service requires secure connection (SSL).
    • Select the check box next to SMTP server requires authentication.

  11. Click the close button in the upper-left corner of the pop-up window.

  12. Click OK to save your settings.
