Computer Use Policy: Introduction

Welcome to WarnerWire, the Internet access and e-mail system that opens doors of opportunity for the Warner Southern College community.

Computer and network usage is managed in a manner consistent with the Warner Southern College Life-style commitment statement, as stated in the Student Handbook and signed by all Warner Southern College students. These Christian standards, to which we are all committed, are the tenets to respect God, others, and self; to be in serious academic pursuit; and to behave responsibly while demonstrating a Christian life-style.

Given these tenets and the ease of transfer of information made possible by computer networks, academic honesty must be remembered as we use network resources. The WSC Academic Honesty policy, as stated in the Student Handbook and Catalog, accepts no form academic dishonesty. This includes plagiarism (presenting as one’s own, the words, work, or opinions of someone else). A violation of academic honesty may result in failure and/or suspension.

Accepting admission to Warner Southern College automatically commits students to academic honor and a pledge to abide by those rules which are considered by the community as part of its life-style commitment.
