The Internet is a global electronic network, and as an information resource, enables Warner Southern College to provide information beyond the confines of its own collection. The Internet allows users to connect to outside networks and/or resources. It allows access to ideas, information, and commentary from around the globe. Warner Southern College Internet access is intended primarily as an information resource, however, it is an unregulated medium. As such, while it offers a wealth of material that is personally, professionally, and culturally enriching to individuals of all ages, it also enables access to some material that some users may find controversial, offensive, disturbing, or illegal. Electronic databases and other technologies as they develop are regulated by outside organizations, not by Warner Southern College. Warner Southern College assumes no responsibility for damages, direct or indirect, arising from its connection to the Internet. Warner Southern College makes no guarantees, either expressed or implied, with respect to the quality or content of the information available on the Internet. Not all the information available on the Internet is accurate, current, or complete. Users are encouraged to be good information consumers by evaluating the validity of information accessed via the Internet. Warner Southern College will make every effort to ensure the use of the Internet is consistent with its Mission, the Warner Southern College Life-Style Commitment, and the Academic Honesty policy. These policy statements are in compliance with the guidelines established by the services providers contracted for computer and network services with Warner Southern College.
