Degree Completion Advisor
Reports to: Assistant Registrar

Provides academic advisement and student services support for prospective and current students within a specified undergraduate academic program. Serves as the liaison between student and University for initial student services and academic inquiries. Assists in the resolution of individual academic problems, and advises on academic program changes. Advises and assists students in the development of academic plans and class schedules.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct the initial unofficial transcript evaluation for prospective students
  2. Conduct official evaluation of college transcripts
  3. Complete degree audits and student advisement of specified undergraduate academic programs
  4. Coordinate with other Degree Completion Advisors, Admissions Recruiters, Academic Program Coordinators, and Site Coordinators regarding additional course offerings needed each term
  5. Review student grade reports each term to determine probation and/or suspension based on academic regulations; notifies Program Coordinators of any issues or concerns
  6. Coordinate with Registrar regarding graduation audit and degree completion requirements
  7. Visit site locations on a continuous basis to assist with advisement and registration
  8. Aid in student retention by providing council to students and information to Program Coordinators at the point of dropping out of school
  9. Aid in student retention by acting as a liaison for student services support

Requirements:
Punctuality, professionalism, and customer service oriented. Failure to perform the duties and responsibilities within these job requirements will result in corrective action relating to the Degree Completion Advisor's performance evaluation.

Education:
Minimum of an Bachelors degree or equivalent, plus a minimum of two years office experience relating to admissions, registration, student advisement, transfer of credit, and/or student services.
