Introduction

The first day of Orientation, Friday, August 19, 2005 we want to offer you Ping-Pong, Pool and X-Box Tournaments in the SUB, our Activities Fair, Bowling, and a Scavenger Hunt in the evening. Saturday, we have our service project, chapel service, and Bon Fire out at HEART. And Sunday night we have our Soul Café.

The first week of classes, August 22 - 26, 2005, we will celebrate DisOrientation Week in honor of the completion of Orientation and being reunited with our returning students. On Monday the 22nd we will have our Grand Re-opening of the Turner Athletic Center including popcorn, pizza, slam dunk contests, men's volleyball match, give-a-ways and more. Tuesday is Karaoke Night. Wednesday we have movie night with "School of Rock". Thursday night we will have "A Fight Within Me", a local Orlando band in concert in the courtyard. And Friday afternoon is our "Where the Sidewalk Ends Party" with lunch on the lawn and carnival attractions such as a climbing wall, giant slide and the like.

Each semester we have a Spiritual Life Week. This week is a cooperative effort between the Campus Pastor and Spiritual Life Committee designed to bring your spiritual growth beyond that of the weekly chapel services. Special speakers, fellowship experiences, events, prayer and devotions create an emphasis on spiritual development during the Spiritual Life Week. Our Spiritual Life Week will be held August 29 - September 2, 2005. Our speaker will be Rev. Biz Gainey and he will be speaking on, "Building your Life on Rock" our campus theme for this year.

We offer discounted events such as Night of Joy, Rock the Universe, and Dinner & Movie at City Walk. Night of Joy and Rock the Universe were held in September and the tickets were SOLD OUT!! As often tickets for special events are limited, we encourage students to stop by the Student Life Office and get tickets for events as soon as possible!

We have Fellowship Experiences the first of which will be our Annual Barn Party held October 29th - and yes we do encourage costumes. At this DJ'd event we will have lots of food, a costume contest and ….my favorite, a mechanical bull. So definitely mark your calendar for that!! We will also have a Christmas Formal on December 10, 2005.
