Writing Center

Students can receive tutoring in reading and writing skills, critical reading, and the writing process. Students can schedule a weekly appointment with an English tutor and/or use drop-in services if tutors are available.

To have your papers reviewed, please bring a typewritten copy of the paper, as well as information for any sources (books, articles, etc.) that you have used to write the paper. The English tutor will explain in detail any grammatical or technical errors, and provide details regarding their correction. He/she will also assist with proper APA/MLA citations, if requested. Your paper will be returned to you at the end of the session. Upon review, the student is then responsible for making specific corrections based on the tutor’s recommendations. Note: Papers need not be completed prior to making a review appointment.

**Tutors cannot guarantee that any particular grade will be received as a result of utilizing writing center services.
