The following list provides additional resources that you will find helpful for various aspects of career exploration. Included is an explanation of why each is useful.

  • Career Fairs
    This section provides links to career fairs held on a nationwide level. If you are not able to physically go to a career fair of interest to you, in many cases you can "attend" through a virtual career fair instead.

  • Company Research
    It is very important to conduct research to find information about companies that you may want to work for. This section provides you with resources to assist your research efforts.

  • Directories
    Included here are several types of online directories, such as yellow pages and educational institutions worldwide.

  • Discussion Groups
    One often overlooked source of job listings is through discussion groups. Often, job listings are posted to discussion groups because employers knows that group members already hold a particular interest in the topics and fields discussed.

  • Diversity
    Many employers are interested in finding workers from diverse cultures. Resources included here provide career-related information (such as online journals, job banks, etc.) specifically geared to individuals of different ethnicities.

  • Labor Outlook & Salary Information
    When choosing an occupational field, it is important to know what the labor outlook is and how much compensation you can expect to receive.

  • Newspapers
    Links in this section will help you find newspapers around the world.

  • Online Journals
    Online journals can provide up-to-date industry-specific career information which can assist you as you explore careers and the current job market.

  • Quick Links
    Provides a list of career related quick links to outside sources.

  • Relocation
    If you are thinking about relocating, you will want to explore the topics covered in this section, such as safety and crime reports, and statewide labor information for the area you are intending to move to.
