The Mission of the Student Government Association
The mission of the Student Government Association is to work with the faculty, staff, administration, trustees, and representatives of Warner Southern College to facilitate excellence in Christian higher education through a curriculum and community that consciously integrates, models, and promotes Christian faith, scholarship, and servanthood. The SGA represents the best interests of the student body of Warner Southern College. As a representative of the students, the SGA serves as a mediator between the student body and the faculty, staff, administration, trustees, and representatives of Warner Southern College.
Branches of the SGA
The SGA is divided into three branches, Executive Council (EC), Student Congress (SC), and the Judicial Committee (JC). Each branch works dependently and interdependently to pursue and accomplish the agenda of the Student Body.
Executive Council:
President of the SGA, Vice President of the SGA, Secretary, Treasurer, CAB Chairman
Student Congress:
Vice President of the SGA, Secretary, Spiritual Life Rep, Service Rep, Freshman Class Reps, Sophomore Class Reps, Junior Class Reps, Senior Class Reps, Men’s Residence Hall Rep, Women’s Residence Hall Rep, Commuter Reps, International Student Rep, Athletic Rep, Club Reps, Organization Reps.
Judiciary Committee:
President of the SGA, Vice President of the SGA, Campus Lawyer, Spiritual Life Representative, appropriate Class Representative, as determined by majority vote of the JC, the Student Life Liaison or Dean of Students, and one other full time active student peer to be chosen at random by the JC.
Campus Activities Board:
The purpose of the CAB shall be to be concerned primarily with issues of campus life, campus activities, and issues of policy related to social, service, and spiritual life. The CAB will prepare resolutions on such issues for the approval of the SGA at large.
