Friday, February 13th was a special day for many. Our Royal men’s volleyball team spent the evening serving special needs children in Melbourne as part of the Tim Tebow Foundation’s “A Night to Shine Prom”. The Royals, led by Coaches Steve Benson and Linda Gomez dressed in formal wear and served as escorts. They were able to walk attendees down the red carpet, serve as dance partners and accompany the guests on limo rides.
On Saturday morning the team served the Brevard County’s Special Olympics program with a volleyball clinic, playing and supporting their athletes. The team then hosted a volleyball clinic for the Starlings volleyball club for underprivileged youth in Cocoa, Florida. The Royals want to thank the Tim Tebow Foundation, the Brevard County Special Olympic group and the Brevard County Starlings for allowing us to represent Warner University at their events! Photos of all these events can be found on the Warner Men’s Volleyball Facebook page.
