They each took turns reading two books to the group of kids.

“The girls loved it,” said Tennis Coach Jose Martinez. “They always have a difficult time leaving once they experience the love these little kids provide them.”

“I think in today’s society people are busy and often focus on things outside of their community, so to help our student-athletes experience community service as part of their education provides them with the chance to give back to our community who supports us in many ways,” said Martinez.

Little Highlander Academy offers a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on the needs of each individual child.  Their program encourages a child’s natural desire to learn. Children engage in hands-on learning activities and benefit from our low student to teacher ratios.

Little Highlander Academy is staffed with experienced teachers holding CDA credentials, director licenses, and bachelor degrees. They provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for children including infants through age five.  Little Highlander Academy follows the Lake Wales Charter School calendar.
