The Warner University graduating Class of 2014 was welcomed by Dr. Gregory V. Hall, President of the university. The ceremony was held in the Turner Athletic Center on May 3, 2014 at 9:00 A.M. Over 1300 guests cheered as the 180 graduates who attended the ceremony received an associate, bachelor or master’s degree. The Class of 2014 included 8 legacy families—children of alumni—who now join the ranks of more than 6,300 alums around the world. The commencement speaker was Dr. Jim Lyon, General Director of the Church of God Ministries. Dr. James Moyer presented a plaque to the 2014 Professor of the Year, Silvano Falcao, who is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Warner University. Warner offers 31 undergraduate majors; out of the 26 majors represented by this graduating class, the largest bachelor degree major was Business Administration online. The number of graduates eligible to receive their degree was 290. Females accounted for 61% of the graduates, which mirrors the national average by gender for college graduates. The leading church affiliations represented were Baptist, Church of God and Catholic. Over 50% of the Warner University graduating class were between 20-29 years old and 30% were over 40 years of age. Warner University’s mission to graduate individuals who exemplify academic excellence and Christian character, who are prepared to lead and committed to serve was well represented by the Class of 2014.
