Warner University Men’s Golf team continue their impressive performance at tournaments this past weekend at the Keiser University Invitational on March 13 -14.
The team, which consisted of Jae sung Hur, Edvin Lindgren, Jacob Fleck, Gabe Bell, and Kyle Safreed, earned their lowest team score of the semester with round scores of 298, 301, and 293 to place Warner in the fourth spot of the tournament out of 12 schools.
Senior, Hur scored 74, 69, and 72 for a total of 215, which resulted in fourth place out of 82 players for the individual results, and put Hur in the All Tournament team.
“This team is a great group of men,” said Warner University Men’s Golf Coach Dave Selent. “I’ve been very pleased to be associated with them.”
The men have already been coming off a good streak from their last tournament, the Warner Invitational, hosted by Warner University on Feb. 29- March 1. The Royals as a team placed third out of 12 schools, while freshman Lindgren took first place to win the individual tournament.
The men’s next event will be the conference tournament on April 30- May 3.
“I think we have a really good chance to be second or third, even first, but we will have to play well,” said Selent. “With our results so far, I think we can do it.”
