Michael Thigpen has set the tone for Spiritual Life Week at Warner University. The eloquent speaker returned to Warner on March 8, to reach out to the students to express not only God’s love for each of them, but also on pursuing Him in return.
“Warner is a special place. Great people, great students,” said Thigpen. “I love the diversity of the school and what I hear back from the students when I come here.”
Upon his return, Thigpen had a message he wanted to convey to the Royals.
“God is deeply, madly in love with us. There is nothing that can stop that love,” said Thigpen. “He wants and desires us to pursue Him and seek a deeper relationship with Him, because He is always pursuing us.”
“Michael is a dynamic speaker with a genuine desire to speak the truth in love; his authenticity and realness opens the door for our students to connect with God in meaningful ways,” said Director of Student Leadership and Community Engagement at Warner University, Karie Harpest.
With the room interacting with him, Thigpen grasped and held the audience’s attention during Tuesday’s chapel services.
“The service was very applicable to our lives and he brought the Bible to 18-24 year-olds,” said Warner University senior Chance Cook.
Thigpen is the Lead Pastor of Celebration Church at Arrow Heights in Anderson, Ind. He’s been a man of God for 20 years, and has geared his ministry to all people and families.
As a graduate from Anderson University with a degree in Organizational Leadership, Thigpen was a former President of the National Inspirational Youth Convention (NIYC), and was a member in the Youth Network Team.
Thigpen will continue to spread his ministry this week at Warner, with the Unscripted Q&A service on Tuesday at 8 p.m., in PLRC 235, a special service on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at the South Lake Wales Church of God, and on Thursday’s regular chapel services.
