Warner University band member Meagan Yopp was selectively chosen as a trumpet player for the Florida Intercollegiate Band to perform in Tampa in January.
There are only 12 trumpet players selected from across the state from all universities, and Meagan was the first musician in Warner history to be selected.
“I always looked up to the college students that made this band and now I am one of them,” said Meagan, sophomore. “This helps show that the music program at Warner is growing and getting better every year.”
The Florida Collegiate band is made up of the best college musicians in the state. A musician gets selected based on their performance and their accomplishments throughout their senior year in high school and their college career.
