Red Letter, currently in its sixth year, was started by Instructor in Worship and Music and Director of Choral Music Dana Hofstrom as a worship group that would prepare people for leading worship, but also be responsible for taking care of some of the chapel worship.

In it’s first year, the name “Red Letter” was chosen by the group because of the Red Letter editions Bible, the words spoken by Jesus while He was on Earth.

For a few weeks over the summers, Red Letter goes across the country on tour.

Last summer, the group first did a few services in Florida, before going on a three-week tour to three different camps and church services. After a week break, they hit the road again for another 10-day trip.

“The relationships we built with the high school students at the camps and getting to hear their stories was a blast,” said member Joel Flaming. “I will always remember the lessons we were able to teach and the lessons we were taught.”
