 The Warner University Emergency Response Team continues to monitor the status of Hurricane Dorian and its path. Dorian has turned north and Warner’s campus is out of immediate danger. 

 What is the current campus status?

Classes are cancelled today and tomorrow Wednesday, September 4, and will resume on Thursday, September 5.  At this point, residence halls and campus facilities remain closed.

When will campus reopen?

Campus will reopen at 11:00am tomorrow, Wednesday, September 4.  Students will not be permitted on campus until that time. Please continue to monitor the Warner University web page, the Warner Facebook page and texts for further updates.  The cafeteria will be open for lunch and supper on Wednesday.  The Union will open Thursday morning.

Be Safe!  The weather and road conditions cannot be identified everywhere.  Please use good judgement for your personal safety and act accordingly when considering your return to campus. 

 Will university offices be open for staff and faculty?

University offices are officially closed today and Wednesday, September 4.  Essential employees are to report to work as scheduled on Wednesday, Sept 4 at their normal time unless you are informed differently by your supervisor. However, if you would like to volunteer to help reset the campus on Wednesday, reset your office space, or even catch up on some work, you are encouraged to do this on Wednesday. If you decide to come in on Wednesday, check in at Ratzlaff when you first come to campus and we can deploy you if needed or simply allow you to return to your office.  All employees are expected to report to work on Thursday, September 5, at their regular time.

 

 

Monday, September 2, 2019 – 12:30pm

 

The Warner University Emergency Response Team continues to monitor the status of Hurricane Dorian and its path.  At this point, there is great uncertainty of Dorian’s path.  Continue to take this storm seriously and take precautions.  

 

The next statement will be posted by noon tomorrow, September 3.  

 

Storm Shelter timeline protocols have been implemented.  This means:

 

What is the current campus status?
Residence Halls and campus facilities are closed to all except those who have indicated they will need shelter from the storm.  Classes are cancelled through Wednesday, September 4.  Students should monitor the Warner web page, the Warner Facebook page and their phones for texts for further updates.  Students who have left campus will not be allowed back on campus until the “all clear” to return has been given.

 

Will university offices be open for staff and faculty?

University offices will be closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and are expected to reopen on Thursday, September 5, once the “all clear” has been given. 

The campus is closed tomorrow, September 3, and personnel are not expected to report unless they are contacted by their supervisor.   Essential employees are to report to work as scheduled on Wednesday, Sept 4.

Once an all-clear is given on the university’s campus, regular operations will commence.  Continue to monitor the Warner web page, the Warner Facebook page andtexts for further updates.
